CONTEST TERMS & CONDITIONS
- Participation in the Singapore Food Masters 2022 #sgfoodmasters (the “Contest”) organised by SPH Media Limited (“SPH Media”) is subject to the Contest & Lucky Draw Terms and Conditions available at https://www.sph.com.sg/terms-and-conditions/online-contests/ (“General T&Cs”) and these Terms and Conditions (“Specific T&Cs”) (collectively the “T&Cs”). In the event of any inconsistency between the Specific T&Cs and the General T&Cs, the Specific T&Cs shall prevail. Entry into the Contest is deemed acceptance of the T&Cs and any amendments, additions, replacements, variations, and modifications hereto, which shall be final and binding in all respects on each participant. SPH Media reserves the right to amend the T&Cs in its sole and absolute discretion, and any such amendments to the T&Cs will be posted at www.sgfoodmasters.sg (the “Microsite”).
- The Contest is open to any member of the public. Employees of SPH Media, SPH Media subsidiaries, associated companies, and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate in the Contest. Winners may be required to sign a written statement confirming their eligibility before prize collection.
- By participating in the Contest, the Participant hereby represents and warrants that:
- he/she has the necessary legal capacity, right, power, and authority to agree to the T&Cs;
- all of the information provided by the participant to SPH Media (including, without limitation, personal data and contact information) is true, accurate, and complete; and
- he/she is not an employee of SPH Media or an immediate family member of an employee of SPH Media. - By participating in the Contest, the participant agrees to be bound by and to comply with the T&Cs. Non-compliance with or breach of any term of the T&Cs, or any misrepresentation of any fact or particulars (deemed material by SPH Media) may disqualify the participant from the Contest, and any prizes won may be forfeited, withheld, withdrawn, or reclaimed.
- For information on how to enter the Contest, participants can refer to the website: www.sgfoodmasters.sg. Participants may be required to provide SPH Media with their full name, personal particulars, and contact information.
- Entries can be made by participants from 23 September 2022 (1000hrs) to 22 October 2021 (2359hrs). Each completed entry will entitle a participant to one (1) chance in the Draw for the Contest. There will be three (3) winners for each zone – North-South, Circle, North-East and East-West Zone selected from each Food Masters winner.
- Each participant may submit multiple entries in the Contest but will only be entitled to win one (1) prize throughout the Contest.
- Each person is eligible to cast one vote for a stall/eatery after the purchase of any food item.
- Each participant may vote for more than one food stall.
- Incomplete entries and/or entries received by SPH Media before or after the stipulated dates and times will not be considered for the Contest.
- The winners will be selected by a computerised draw and will be contacted via mobile number and email address.
- Votes from non-Singapore mobile numbers will be counted as votes but not eligible to win the shopping vouchers.
- SPH Media shall not be responsible for any lost or misdirected entries, howsoever caused, for entries received after the deadline as a consequence of any errors, internet service delays, interruptions, failures or overloads, or for any stolen, misplaced, or incomplete entries.
- By participating in the Contest, the participant agrees and confirms that:
- any and all personal data submitted by the participant may be collected, used, and/or disclosed to SPH Media and its related corporations (collectively, the “SPH Media Limited”) for any purpose that may reasonably relate to the participant’s participation in the Contest, including to communicate with the participant for purposes related to the Contest and for such purposes that the participant may have otherwise given his/her consent to the SPH Media;
- the SPH Media may collect, use, disclose and share amongst themselves and their respective service providers, the participant’s personal data, including the photographs or audio-video or other recordings of the participant (“Material”) for the purposes of advertising, publicising, and/or promoting the Contest across all media, including, without limitation, in the SPH Group’s publications, presentations, promotional materials on their websites, in its original or edited format; and
- the copyright and all other intellectual property rights in and to all Material shall vest solely and absolutely in SPH Media without further compensation. - Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and non-cash prizes cannot be exchanged for cash. SPH Media accepts no responsibility for any tax or other liability that may arise from the prize winnings, and any such tax or other liability is the sole responsibility of the winner. Prizes are subject to availability and SPH Media has the right to substitute any prize for a comparable prize of equal or greater value to be awarded in lieu, subject to any applicable law.
- In the event that a winner is subsequently disqualified, SPH Media reserves the right to identify a new winner in replacement.
- The decisions of SPH Media on all matters relating to the Contest, including, without limitation, the validity of entries, results of the draw, and the winners of the Contest, are final, conclusive, and binding on all participants to the Contest and no correspondence will be entertained. No inquiries or appeals (verbal or written), will be entertained. The participants shall accept and abide by any and all decisions made by SPH Media concerning the Contest including, without limitation, the T&Cs, the rules, procedures, and regulations of the Contest, the award of prizes, and any other matters relating to the Contest.
- SPH and/or any member of the SPH Media shall not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss), damage, personal injury, or death in connection with the Contest, or any prize, except any liability that cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law). All warranty claims in regards to any prize should be directed to the applicable manufacturer. Except to the extent that they may not be excluded by law, no representations, warranties, terms or conditions that are not expressly stated in the T&Cs apply to the Contest nor in respect of the prizes and all implied warranties are excluded, including but not limited to, the implied warranties of satisfactory quality, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose of any of the prizes.
- The participant agrees to indemnify and hold the SPH Media and its advertising and promotions agencies, and each of their respective officers, directors and employees, harmless from all claims, demands, actions, proceedings, liabilities (including statutory liability and liability to third parties), penalties and costs (including without limitation, legal costs on a full indemnity basis), losses and/or expenses, due to or arising out of the participant’s participation in the Contest and/or the participant’s breach or non-compliance with any of the T&Cs.
All prizes which are not won or remain unclaimed one (1) month after the draw date will be forfeited and donated to charity. - SPH Media reserves the right to withdraw or cancel any prize or the Contest at any time without having to assign any reason and without compensation or payment whatsoever.
- There will be twelve (12) Grand Draw winners in total. The Winners for the Grand Draw will be drawn at random. The date of the grand draw will be confirmed before November.
- On the Draw Date, twelve (12) winners and one hundred and eight (108) reserve winners will be selected at random by means of a computerized or electronic system. The reserve winners are drawn to replace any winner subsequently disqualified. SPH Media's decision as to the winner and reserve winners of the Grand Draw shall be final and conclusive.
- SPH Media will pick the Grand Draw Winners from eligible entries. No correspondence will be entertained about SPH Media's decision. SPH Media reserves the right to disqualify all entries that do not meet the rules and regulations of the Grand Draw. These include entries submitted with invalid or incorrect information.
- SPH Media will attempt to make at least two (2) phone calls a day for one (1) working day to the winner to obtain their full particulars for verification purposes. In the event that SPH Media is unable to contact a winner within this period, SPH Media will choose an eventual winner from the reserve winner list according to the reserved slot number.
- A Prize Letter will be sent to the Prize Winners by their email addresses. Winners must produce proof of identity and the printed prize letter upon prize collection.
- By acknowledging the acceptance of the Grand Draw Prize, all Winners agree to the use of their name and the last four digits of their NRIC number for the 12 Finalist ad.
- In the event of any inconsistency between the T&Cs and any brochure, marketing or promotional material related to the Contest, the terms of the T&Cs shall prevail.
- Unless expressly provided to the contrary herein, any person who is not a participant shall have no right to enforce any of the terms of the T&Cs under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act.
- The terms of the T&Cs shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore.
